A savannah monitor must be kept verry hot. The temperature under his basking spot must be between the 100 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit (38 to 46 degrees Celsius). We must also monitor the rest of the enclosure very well and must keep it at 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit (29 to 32 degrees Celsius). At night, we can keep the animals a bit cooler at a temperature of 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (23 to 28 degrees Celsius).
We must allways be on our guard for overheating the enclosure, a thermostat can be your helping hand.
